Below are some questions which I (in most cases, unless otherwise noted) have come up with for various articles. In them, questions are given concerning some reading which students are asked to do. As the articles age, they do not necessarily lose their value. The questions posed at one point in time often have value in that either A) they are still being asked or B) we can see how our society felt about the topics throughout our history. I have found that there are many uses for this format of critical evaluation. It is a way to guide students' thinking toward necessary conclusions while at the same time opening up opportunities for them to ask their own questions and formulate discussion topics.

If you do use these questions, please be sure to give credit where it is due.

Many of these article questions go to science magazine articles which I cannot (and will not) reproduce in any way. I always am sure to reference the sources, though, at the top of each critical evaluation sheet, and they should be easily found in your school library or public library periodicals section. Some may even be available in on-line formats.

Let me know if you find these useful!
